PlayCV is thrilled to announce its newest partnership with Lando, an innovative educational organization focused on engineering and creative problem-solving. This collaboration brings a unique learning experience to four elementary schools in our community, targeting Kindergarten and 1st through 3rd Grade students.
At the heart of Lando's approach is the empowerment of students to become junior engineers. In a world increasingly shaped by technology and innovation, Lando's classes offer a platform for our youngest learners to engage in hands-on, minds-on activities. What sets Lando apart is their emphasis on design, prototyping, and testing solutions to real engineering challenges. This method is not about following a set of instructions; it's about exploring, experimenting, and learning through trial and error.
Lando utilizes a range of building tools – from the ever-popular LEGOs to cutting-edge 3D pens – to bring students' ideas to life. This game-like, student-led approach not only makes learning fun but also effectively nurtures key life skills such as grit and problem-solving. Within weeks, teachers and parents alike witness a remarkable growth in students' ability to tackle challenges head-on.
One of the most impressive aspects of Lando’s program is its curriculum, meticulously designed by education experts, including seasoned curriculum developers from Osmo and Stanford University. This curriculum is tailored to create a vibrant, engaging, and educational environment that stimulates young minds in every class.
Furthermore, Lando ensures a high-quality learning experience by maintaining an optimal 1:8 teacher-student ratio. Each class is guided by two experienced teachers, providing personalized guidance and attention to each student. These educators are not just teachers; they are mentors who bring a wealth of passion and expertise in student management. Their training in behavioral management techniques and classroom management tools equips them to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
