PlayCV's vision is our students are confident, curious, and compassionate people who are empowered to become lifelong learners and successful contributors within their communities.
PlayCV’s purpose is to provide equitable access to quality educational opportunities beyond the classroom for all students in Castro Valley through after-school enrichment programs that keep kids engaged and ignite their passion for learning. Our summer camps and community engagement events build connections both within schools and throughout the wider community.
PlayCV offers four main program experiences: The Full PLAY for TK through 5th grade, The CLUB for 6th through 8th grade, Enrichment Classes, and Summer Camps.
The Full PLAY and The CLUB operate each day school is in session. Students check in after the last bell, receive a district-provided snack, and participate in age-appropriate enrichment, homework support, structured play, and social activities.
Enrichment Classes are short-session, subject-focused classes. Summer Camps offer half-day and full-day options during selected summer weeks.
Every PlayCV instructor and team member completes a background screening, including DOJ and FBI Live Scan fingerprinting, and must be cleared before working with students.

PlayCV is not an extended daycare service. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing enrichment classes and activities to Castro Valley schools. At the heart of everything we do is the goal of bringing back a little fun, to introduce topics not normally available at our schools, and to provide more diverse social engagement opportunities.
