CompuChild is a national franchise dedicated to spreading technology and entrepreneurial education among children through after-school enrichment. We have the distinction of being one of the two children’s education franchises in the US to be ‘STEM Certified’ by Cognia.
Students start our cleantech program by building operating models of familiar devices such as a musical doorbell, siren, motion detectors, two-speed fan, etc. by using a hands-on Snap Circuit kit. These devices run on electricity and use components such as switches, batteries, resistors, conductors, etc. that are arranged in series and parallel configurations. Each class incorporates building activities, handouts, and observations to assist children in developing a sound understanding of circuits. Students build further on their understanding of electrical circuits to get hands-on exposure to clean technology by using solar panels, wind energy, batteries and manual energy generators. They build and understand the workings of electric cars, windmills, solar panel devices and hydrogen fuel cells.
Enroll your children for a truly enriching learning experience that has been designed to meet the demands of the 21st century.
