CompuChild’s Speech and Debate program is designed to introduce students to the principles of public speaking and oral communication. The goal is to help students become confident and effective communicators through practical experience, and active feedback. Students will learn the art of persuasion through mini-debates, and prepared presentations on topics that are relevant to them. The program’s emphasis will be on research skills and effective communication techniques through interactive presentations and debates, providing leadership and public speaking skills that can be applied to the real world. By the end of the course, students will have gained the essential abilities and knowledge required to become effective public speakers and debaters. They will be able to structure a speech effectively, use appropriate body language, make persuasive arguments, listen actively, and present their thoughts logically.
