Durante la semana de Exploradores de la Naturaleza, los campistas participarán en juegos al aire libre, actividades de exploración y desafíos en la naturaleza. Descubrirán cómo la vida florece a nuestro alrededor, incluso en medio del patio de una escuela. Desde criaturas microscópicas hasta los árboles más altos, siempre hay algo nuevo por descubrir.
Las actividades diarias incluirán una variedad de juegos al aire libre, tejido con materiales naturales, días especiales de juegos con agua, juegos en grupo, creación de un telescopio, STEM y arte con temática de la naturaleza, y mucho más.
About Dual Language Immersion (DLI)
These special summer camps are designed to support and build on the Spanish Dual Language Immersion (DLI) program offered during the school year at Vannoy Elementary. Just like in our regular camps, students will explore fun weekly themes through hands-on activities, games, and projects—but in these camps, everything is taught in Spanish by bilingual instructors! The goal is to help students grow their Spanish skills while having a blast—whether they speak Spanish at home or are learning it as a second language. It's a great way for kids to become confident in both English and Spanish, while gaining a deeper appreciation for different cultures.
Step into the wonders of the natural world right in our own school yard! Throughout Nature Navigators week, campers will engage in outdoor games, nature activities, and exploration challenges. Campers will learn how nature thrives all around us—even in the middle of a schoolyard. From the microscopic creatures to the tallest trees, there's always something new to discover.
Daily activities include a variety of outdoor activities, weaving with natural materials, designated water play days, group games, making a telescope, theme-related STEM, Art, and more! ?
