Where curiosity roams wild, young explorers will go on an educational expedition to learn about the habitat, animals, plants and culture of the savannah through arts, crafts and STEM activities. By the end of the week, campers will leave with a deeper appreciation for Africa’s vibrant wildlife, diverse culture, and natural wonders, all while developing creativity, scientific curiosity, and teamwork skills.

Enrichment Class: Gear Up & Go: Epic Safari Robotics Adventure: Get ready for an Epic Safari Adventure, where robotics meets wildlife exploration. In this action-packed summer camp, young explorers journey through a safari inspired world, learning about animals and bringing them to life through movement and mechanics.
Campers work in teams to build and program robotic animal models and safari vehicles, designing creations that crawl, roll, roar, and race across the savannah. Using hands-on model building and drag-and-drop programming, students explore motors, gears, pulleys, sensors, and cams while discovering how animals move, adapt, and survive in the wild.
Through exciting safari missions and obstacle challenges, campers observe how mechanical motion mirrors real animal movement speed, strength, balance, and coordination. They develop problem-solving, teamwork, and engineering skills while seeing their animal creations move, react, and come alive.
This course is designed by CompuChild’s expert team, including educators with PhD and EdD degrees and experience as children’s librarians. CompuChild is proud to be one of only two national children’s education franchises that are STEM Certified by Cognia.
