PlayCV is an essential part of the day for more than one thousand Castro Valley public school students and families. When learning is fun, kids grow academically, emotionally, and socially when it matters most.
We give families peace of mind knowing their children are safe, cared for, and thriving in a place where structured learning meets joyful play. Affordable and convenient for working families, PlayCV also provides free tuition for eligible families, ensuring that every child—regardless of financial circumstance—has access to high-quality after-school programs that support learning, creativity, and community.
PlayCV has operated on all Castro Valley Unified School District elementary and middle school campuses for years, expanding access to high-quality after-school opportunities right where families need them most — at their child’s school.
Through collaboration with school leaders, teachers, and families, PlayCV ensures programs supplement school-day learning while giving kids the freedom to explore, play, and build friendships after class.

We serve 840+ kids in our Full PLAY program and 443 additional kids in our enrichment classes. We are projected to serve 1,500 students this year.
Our PlayCV Productions cast over 280 kids and sell more than 3,100 tickets per year.
We offer 49 enrichment classes including cooking, chess, and coding.
