Step into the shoes of history’s greatest inventors! In this hands-on summer camp, young innovators will explore the stories and creations of world-changing creators—from George Devol to Thomas Edison, Marie Curie, and the Wright brothers. Throughout the week, campers will be inspired by the creativity and persistence of others as they learn the history of important inventors, their inventions, and then recreate models of classic inventions. The week will culminate with a tinkering space where campers will test curiosity, persistence, and problem-solving skills as they create their own inventions.
Enrichment Class: Slime & Tinkering: Campers will make fun slimes and foster critical thinking, creativity and resourcefulness tinkering with excess materials and loose parts. There will be a one hour slime or tinkering activity in both the AM camp and PM camp. All day campers will make one slime and complete one tinkering challenge each day. Half day campers will do one slime or tinkering activity per day. All the fun and all the mess that the kids love, but not at your house!
The daily schedule includes theme-related STEM challenges, arts & crafts, sensory play, group games, outdoor activities, designated water play days (weather permitting), and more!
