Charity Hastings is the Purchasing and Account Manager at the Alameda County Office of Education. She is a long time Castro Valley resident and attended Vannoy Elementary, Canyon Middle School, and Castro Valley High School! She and her husband, Greg, have two adult children that are also graduates of Castro Valley High School. Charity earned her BS in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University. Charity worked for Castro Valley Unified School District for over 10+ years in a variety of roles on the business side of education.
Charity has served as a volunteer in the community in a variety of capacities; from serving on the Castro Valley Mothers Club Steering Committee to Proctor’s PTA Executive Board to serving as a Girl Scout Troop leader for 10 years.
Charity Hastings brings a light and laughter to all of her efforts which brings people together for a common goal. She believes serving the students of our community is a priority! Her strong belief in equity and inclusion matches the beliefs of our organization. Charity’s positive outlook and can-do attitude, knowledge of budgeting and buying will serve us well.
