FAQ

Can I enroll my student at a site they don’t go to school at?

For Summer Camp, yes. Each student can be enrolled at any site.

Does PlayCV provide lunch and snacks?

Yes, Castro Valley Unified School District provides lunch and snacks.  Students may also bring their own lunch and snacks. These will be kept indoors with their backpacks. Please make sure to update Enrollsy for any allergies your student has.

Do you provide transportation between the sites?

PlayCV does not provide transportation between camp sites. Families who choose different sites during the same day must provide transportation.

CVUSD families whose child’s home school is not a camp location may contact PlayCV at info@playcv.org or call/text (510) 900-4220 to ask about transportation from the home school to a camp site.

If I enroll my student in more than one week of camp, will they receive more than one PlayCV issued t-shirt?

Students will receive one t-shirt upon enrollment for the summer.

I notice that there are some sessions that have similar names throughout the day and or at different sites. Are these classes repetitive?

Classes will not repeat during the day between AM and PM sessions.  While concepts may stay the same, themes and activities will differ.

Is Juneteenth a holiday?

Yes. PlayCV is closed on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth when that date falls during a camp week.

My student is not enrolled in Castro Valley Unified School District during the academic year. Are they still allowed to enroll?

Yes, but if your family is eligible for Expanded Learning Opportunities Program funding (for Castro Valley, a District Waiver), they must attend a camp in their home district.

We’d like to change the theme camp our child is signed up for, how can we do that?

For any enrollment changes, please email us at info@playcv.org describing the change you would like to make, and we can do it on the back end.

What are the camp times?
