CVUSD manages District Waivers for eligible TK through 6th-grade students. Seventh- and eighth-grade students are not eligible.
Step 1: Apply through SchoolCafe and select “Apply for Benefits (As a Guest).” Families must reapply each school year. The 2026–27 application deadline is August 15, 2026.
Step 2: Submit the PlayCV District Waiver Verification Request Form for each child.
Step 3: CVUSD will verify eligibility directly with PlayCV. Allow up to 10 business days. Once verification is complete, PlayCV will email the enrollment code.
PlayCV cannot accept a Determination Letter as proof of eligibility. Questions about the SchoolCafe application or eligibility decision should be directed to the CVUSD Child Nutrition Department.
You do not need to wait for District Waiver approval if you want to reserve an available space. You may enroll at the regular tuition rate while verification is pending.
Until CVUSD verifies eligibility directly with PlayCV, regular tuition and class fees remain due. Once the waiver is verified, PlayCV will apply it and refund eligible tuition retroactive to the month of district approval.
If the program is full, add your child to the waitlist. Please do not submit duplicate enrollments.
